AMADEUS Scholarship & Award Opportunities

AMADEUS International School Vienna empowers individuals to discover and develop their talents so that they may make positive contributions to our world.

AMADEUS Vienna Scholarships & Awards provide the opportunity for students to pursue an excellent Academic, Music, and Arts education that leverages the school’s unique international environment and host country opportunities. The programme is based on recognizing all-around student excellence. Applicants are required to demonstrate achievement in academics and the arts, as well as to embody the values of AMADEUS Vienna at the highest level.

For the school year 2025-2026, AMADEUS Vienna is offering the following scholarship and awards opportunities: 

AMADEUS Scholarships

We are happily offering the following THREE types of scholarships:

  • ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS

    Grades 9 to 12
    Internal & External Candidates

    • Cover tuition fees (full or partial amount)* for students in Grades 9-12 who demonstrate outstanding academic performance

    SELECTION CRITERIA: Academic excellence, letters of recommendation, personal essays, and standardised test scores.

    *These scholarships exclude boarding/entry/insurance/residence permit fees. They are applied to the Academic tuition fee and cannot be deferred to areas of scholarship for which they are not intended.

  • DIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS

    Internal & External Candidates

    • Intended for students from countries not represented in the School, in order to promote cultural diversity.
    • These scholarships are awarded for one academic year only and reviewed annually.

    SELECTION CRITERIA: A candidate comes from a non-represented country, and demonstrates financial need*, academic potential, and commitment to the School community.

    *The value of the scholarship will be determined by the financial situation of each applicant.

  • AMADEUS MUSIC AND ARTS ACADEMY (AMAA) SCHOLARSHIPS

    Internal & External Candidates

    • Awarded to students with exceptional talent in music or the arts.

    SELECTION CRITERIA: Auditions, portfolios, letters of recommendation, and personal essays. These scholarships are awarded by a Selection Committee on an annual basis. This scholarship is offered based on a successful live audition.

AMADEUS Awards

We are gladly offering the following THREE types of awards:

  • AMADEUS AWARDS

    Internal & External Candidates

    • Recognises personal and professional growth, special talents, and contributions to the School Community.

    SELECTION CRITERIA:  Participation in extracurricular activities, leadership, community service, innovative initiatives, and creative projects.

  • IBCP AWARDS

    Grades 11 and 12
    Internal & External Candidates

    • Aimed at external students who wish to enter the exclusive IBCP programmes in Music or Art and Design.

    SELECTION CRITERIA: Portfolio of artistic or musical work, personal essays, letters of recommendation, and auditions (if applicable)

  • ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE & DISTINCTION AWARD

    Grades 9 to 12
    Internal & External Candidates

    • A scholarship covering 50-100% of tuition fees and 50% of the cost of Boarding from Grades 9 to 12.

    SELECTION CRITERIA: Fully rounded students with exceptional academic records, a portfolio of demonstrable personal and professional achievements, and projects connected to prestigious international institutions. This scholarship is available to students in Grades 9 to 12 with exceptional marks on the Admissions Test during the application process.

How to Apply?

EXTERNAL APPLICANTS

Students who are currently not enrolled at AMADEUS Vienna need to first complete the school’s normal admissions procedures through OpenApply. You can read more about the Admissions Process HERE.

AMADEUS STUDENTS

Interested students must submit a complete application, including the required documents for each scholarship or award category. The registration of applications will be carried out through the Jotform.

Application Requirements & Considerations

Scholarship Application CHECKLIST

A complete, signed Scholarship Application form
A complete Application form on OpenApply (for external applicants)
Copies of the applicant’s most recent report cards/achievement reports
Portfolio of work/Curriculum Vitae/Biography (for external applicants).
English language proficiency exam results (for external applicants and if available).
Copy of valid passport and/or national identification cards.
Personal Statement (through Jotform)
A video recording of one or more recent music or dance performances by the candidate on a website, YouTube, or other link (if applicable).
An electronic portfolio of visual arts work (if applicable).
  • MULTIPLE APPLICATION: Students may apply for multiple scholarships or awards.
  • SINGLE SCHOLARSHIP: Students may only receive one scholarship, with the exception of awards and the diversity scholarship, which may be combined with other scholarships.
  • SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION: In order to be considered for a scholarship, applicants must correctly fill out all relevant sections in the application form and include all relevant documents listed below. Applications are free of charge.
    • Applications with unanswered questions or incomplete documentation will not be considered for a scholarship.
  • EVALUATION & NOTIFICATION: A Selection Committee will evaluate the applications according to the established criteria. Selected students will be notified in writing.

Application Deadline

The application deadline for the 2025-26 Academic year is 15 March 2025. Decisions will be made by the end of April 2025. The last round of scholarships will be awarded in May 2025, should any scholarships/awards remain available.
