Educational Philosophy at our IB World School
- As a fully authorised International Baccalaureate (IB) Continuum School, we follow the IB’s rigorous, internationally recognised programmes for students aged three to 18.
- Our inquiry-based learning approach engages students, addresses real-life challenges and cultivates critical-thinking, problem-solving and presentation skills.
- Our Commitment to the Arts encompasses a holistic approach to education by combining both academic excellence and passion for music and the arts.
- We maintain a truly international campus with over 50 nationalities, where multiple languages can be heard every day.
- Small class sizes allow for personalised attention.
- We provide English language support to enable all students to excel.
- As the language of our host country, German lessons are a requirement up to Grade 10 and offered at both the native and foreign language levels.
- Where requested and available, we also support the development of our students’ native languages through our mother-tongue programme.
- In addition to various technology tools, we provide our Primary students with iPads and our Secondary students with MacBooks to complement coursework.

IB Programmes: core curriculum
As part of the IB Programme’s required core curriculum, students gain a breadth of appreciation for Music and the Arts. They do so by developing a quality foundation of skills through an exploratory learning approach. All students are exposed to music, singing and dancing as part of participation in whole school community events.
The core curriculum is supplemented with a dynamic co-curricular enrichment programme that further integrates the arts by emphasising process, play and real-life project-based learning modules where students and teacher are both learner and creator. These include elements of photojournalism, editorial design, composing with technology, acting, singing and dancing in development of a musical theatre performance.
Students also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of additional school activities and/or enrol in individual lessons at the AMADEUS Music and Arts Academy (AMAA). These include choir, ensembles, orchestra, instrument, voice, dance styles, drawing, painting, instrumental lessons etc.
