Being away from family is a significant step for any young person. At AMADEUS Vienna, we provide a nurturing environment where students feel grounded, supported, and inspired. Our Boarding House is designed to help students develop their strengths, discover their talents, and flourish as individuals.

Come and Visit Us

We offer interested students a trial stay in the Boarding House. Students are welcome to visit and experience a typical day and night at our Boarding House.

AMADEUS Vienna may offer weekly boarding for students coming from nearby locations, although it is recommended that students become fully immersed and a part of our weekend Boarding programme. Our weekly boarders may reside Sunday to Friday on campus and return to their families over the weekend.

A Focus on Character Building

Positive Psychology in Practice
- Implementation of consequences based on a “growth” mindset through service and reflection, such as Friday Community Service.
- Introduction of merit notes and merit awards to recognise positive contributions and reinforce desirable behaviours.
Mentor Programme
- Focused on Character Strengths, PERMA model, and Academic Support.
- Professional development to enhance coaching skills and connect with Positive Psychology principles.
- Emphasis on building positive emotions, fostering engagement, creating meaningful connections, and supporting autonomy.
Academic Support
- Dedicated Saturday Library Sessions to provide additional academic support.
- “Kaffee und Kuchen” sessions to encourage a balance between academic efforts and social well-being.
- Effort grades will be carefully reviewed, with appropriate follow-up actions taken, including the integration of Boarding Reports into the official school reports.
In-house and Weekend Activity Programme
- A wide range of activities to promote student engagement, relaxation, and community bonding.
- We offer a balance of Cultural, Outdoor & Adventure, Social, Well-being, Life skills, & Creative Activities.
Student Leadership and Community Project
- Encouraging leadership opportunities and community service, with plans for future projects to further develop student engagement.
- Our Prefects and Boarding Ambassadors lead initiatives on Mental health awareness, Stress management and Community well-being projects. They also collaborate closely with school counsellors to promote a culture of shared responsibility.

Our Boarding House is designed to be a place where students feel happy, safe, and fully supported. The facilities offer a range of high‑quality amenities that create a comfortable, enriching, and home‑like environment for every boarder.

Three dedicated floors for Grades 6–12
Separate sections for boys and girls
Rooms for two students with en-suite bathrooms, study areas, and personal storage
Kitchens, laundry rooms, and cosy common spaces
Access to campus facilities including the Fitness Centre, Art Rooms, and Music Practice Rooms

Our Boarding Staff: Guiding & Supporting Every Boarder

With the help of the House Parents and the Head of House, the physical and emotional well-being and academic progress of all boarders are supervised and supported. Everyday life is also supported by the housekeeping and facilities teams, as well as chefs and teachers. Staff and students live and work together so that everybody at AMADEUS Vienna feels at home.

We are proud of the supportive and caring environment we have cultivated. It is the primary aim of all members of the Boarding Community to provide first-class support. To do so, it is important to know the students well and build positive, close, yet professional relationships with students.
