1st Prize at the NY International Artists Association Competition

The AV community celebrates Brendan Goh, an AV Academy alumnus who has made the entire community proud by receiving 1st Prize at the 5th New York International Artists Association (NYIAA) competition.

Brendan plays the Cello, and is well known in the AV community for the zeal and passion with which he plays.

On the 24th of September, 2017, Brendan took part in the 5th New York International Artists Association Competition, and performed his debut at the Carnegie Hall in New York. After spectacular performances of works of Schubert, Beethoven and David Popper, Brendan was awarded 1st Prize at the prestigious competition.

Brendan is also the 1st Singaporean/Vienna educated Cellist to receive this honorable prize. He received the prize from Ms Jung Yung Kim (the President of the NYIAA), Ms Wei Tan (Artistic Director), Mr Amédée Williams (Board Member), and Dr Donn-Alexandre Feder (Jury Member and Faculty of Manhattan School of Music).
