Jeremy House is an Australian born educator with a deep belief in the value of an international education for a more prosperous and peaceful world. He holds a Bachelor of Education with Honours, a Master of Education, a Master of Business Administration in International Business, and is a Doctoral candidate at University College London’s Institute of Education with a special interest in Positive Psychology.
He has worked in numerous operational and key strategic leadership positions in boarding schools and has extensive experience in school growth and development. He is dedicated to student-centred learning and maintaining a personal and family-like school culture.
Karen Ball has been working in education for the past 15 years. She has held positions in South Korea, Northern Canada and her last 5 years in several teaching and administrative capacities at AMADEUS Vienna. Her passion has been Special Education and Leadership. She works to develop students through empowerment, physical activity and growth mindset. Karen holds a Masters degree in Education and is currently working on her PhD at the University of Vienna. She is also enrolled in a leadership programme through Harvard University.
Martha Ross has professional experience as an international educator in England, Italy, Hong Kong and now Austria. She believes in creating appropriate learning contexts for international students and teachers to inquire and learn together. Martha is a life long learner and has focused her academic research on intercultural competencies in international education. Student well being is a priority and a focus on educating the whole child.
Alexandra Gruber gained her Master’s degree in Musicology and began her career in Music Libraries and Archives in Austria and England organising exhibitions and publications. Before receiving her accountancy qualifications she worked for the Niederösterreich Government in music school Management. She therefore brings her passion for music education and business to AMADEUS Vienna, and leads the Business Office in providing sound management and effective support services.
Colin Kay has worked in international boarding and day schools in four countries and has a BA (Hons) in Business Management, a postgraduate certificate in boarding education (pastoral care), a postgraduate certificate in education (pedagogy) and an MBA. He has successfully founded boarding houses in The Netherlands and Montenegro, with a focus on developing the whole person and creating a sense of belonging and well-being in all students and colleagues. He believes in experiential education and also teaches IBDP Business Management through project-based learning.

Julie Newman has a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and International Business and an Master’s Degree in International Relations. She has 20 years of professional experience working in the education sector as a senior administrator. She takes pride in bringing together the diverse community of AMADEUS Vienna stakeholders and help guide them towards a common mission.
